I was the Lead 3D Modeler responsible for most of the 3D assets throughout the spot. I utilized our new 3D scanner on the hero shoe, creating a fairly accurate high polygon model to use for proportions. The technology and time saved was worth the cost of the scanner, but fortunately for my career the scanned model topology needed to be rebuilt by hand, so it looks like I won’t be replaced by a robot just yet.
