Similar to other games in the Mario Kart series, Mario Kart 7 incorporates various characters from the Mario games who race against each other on Mario game-themed tracks. New additions to the game include hang-gliding attachments for karts and the ability to drive underwater. This is where Logan stepped in and pieced together this fun live action + CG commercial to promote and highlight the new features for the launch of the game. I was a Lead 3D Modeler on this commercial in charge of scene assembly, game asset management, and supervising various artists. As of January 26, 2012, Mario Kart 7 has sold 4.5 million units globally, becoming the second best-selling Nintendo 3DS game. ( #1 being Super Mario 3D Land. )
